[ Jean has to bite back a 'stay forever'. He wants to stay with Dolph; he's not ready to give up cohabitation with Eren yet. He doesn't know how Dolph feels about that, and feels pretty sure Dolph wouldn't want to share space with Eren, though.

Instead, he smiles wider and presses a kiss to Dolph's cheek. ]

Well, I'm going to recruit you to help prep dinner then. I should get a break sometimes.

[ He already is - Eren's hired other cooks. ]

[ dolph would do anything for jean. anything. but he's holding out for his future, his ending. one where someone comes home to him and not dolph clutching at straws, hopeful. and so he'll never ask, come home with me, be with me, stay with me. instead he says, whatever you want, I'm here, I'll be there, if I am just a rock, at least let me be your rock. ]

I can do that. My skills have improved.

[ Jean appreciates Dolph so much. He wants to be there for Dolph as much as he can be - and he hopes, one day, that Dolph finds that perfect person for him. That someone that will choose him without restraint or conditions. In another world, he might have been that person.

He squeezes their entwined fingers, hoping it says everything he isn't managing at the moment. ]

I should hope so - I'd say your teacher would be pretty bad otherwise.

[ Some light teasing. ]

[ A light nudge at his own self, but his smile is still soft when Dolph presses a kiss to his knuckles. He follows Dolph towards the kitchen. ]

How have things been, by the way? Any new arrivals you know this time?
