Powers and Abilities: No special abilities, as a human or Eldian that need to be nerfed.

Mundane learned abilities he has are experience using the ODM gear in both Titan and urban warfare, training in urban warfare to engage in human targets, and training on the weak points and abilities of both Pure, Aberrant and Shifter Titans. Jean is noted as particularly skilled and fast for an average (non-Ackerman or Titan) user of the ODM gear, and is exceptional according to his teacher and peers at performing complicated maneuvers with it.

Additionally, he possesses a quick and analytical mind. While he might not be as skilled in playing the long game for politics or planning long term war engagements, he's someone able to quickly determine the motives of people, adapt plans on the fly, or find ways to make seemingly impossible plans work. He's also good at identifying flaws or common problems in plans as well. Marco notes that since he's a 'regular' person, he's uniquely positioned to understand the fears and desires of the common soldier.

Character Questions:
1. Who is the person your character is most bonded with from their canon? Or who is someone they miss the most?
Jean is most bonded with Sasha Braus and Connie Springer in his canon. Both Sasha and Connie are completely human, like him - they do not have bloodline abilities or Titan abilities. What started as bonding over this has formed a fast and fierce friendship. Additionally, the three work off each others strengths and weakness in battle well.

The person he misses most, however, is Marco Bott. Marco is Jean's childhood friend from training, who was murdered shortly before graduation. His death changed the trajectory of Jean's life, as he judges many of his actions by a mantra of what his kindhearted and sweet best friend would do.

2. What are they most afraid of?
Failure. Specifically, failure to live up to the expectations of his friends, family and commanders, but most especially what he thinks Marco would do. This can be for better or for worse, as it sometimes results in deliberately placing himself in dangerous situations, or avoiding situations he views as needless in danger. (He usually, through others or his own sense of right and wrong, does the thing he views as correct).

3. What is their weakness? Emotionally, mentally and physically?
Emotionally - his desire to live up to expectations means that his friends (and enemies) can manipulate him using this desire. Mentally, it is that he considers himself a 'coward' because he doesn't want to fail or die. Often times his desire to live without failing or dying can be used against him (ie: if you side with us, you can live in safety). Physically, he's not quite as fast and mobile as some members of his team (they are all above average), and he is often reluctant to engage human targets.

4. What would make them happiest?
To live in a world that no longer has to fear death and retaliation from each other, with a partner and children, and to care for them until he dies of old age.

5. What’s their type for a lover?
He likes strong women with dark hair that can kick his ass and aren't meek or demure. He likes men that meet him head on or call him on his bullshit and aren't afraid to get a little rough with him.
