Well, now that's a surprise. Do I get to guess?

[ He hasn't checked the new arrivals just yet; doesn't know that one of Dolph's friends has returned. The message is a pleasant surprise, though. ]

You can guess if you want. Might be a bit hard though.

Like I'm going to choose that over watching you sweep.

[ Dolph has a nice butt, and you know, his entire personality attached to it that Jean loves. ]

Flatterer.

It's a closet. A magic one.

It'll let you conjure up any kind of clothing you want.

[neighsaying]

[ Mild confusion is unvoiced before he thinks of the conversation before: taking Dolph somewhere, dressing them up. Any kind of clothing he could imagine, huh?

He almost teases Dolph should have just let him learn to sew but, he doesn't want to make him feel bad even accidentally. ]

Just for me, or does it work for other people too? Either way, now I want to see it.

Need any help? I know you can handle it yourself, but you don't have to.

[laserhawk]

I know, but it's your gift. You deserve them.

I won't be long.

[neighsaying]

[ Dolph may say he's not good at this, but he's always so sweet when he brings a gift like this - it makes Jean smile. Still, he cleans up what's left of the delivery prep - there's more than just Eren running it now, after all - and then makes sure he's waiting out front when Dolph arrives, a smile on his lips.

He also whistles, once. ]

I think even some guys I know back home would have trouble carrying that.

[laserhawk]

[ his cheeks flush lightly as he drops the cupboard down, gentle as he can be. ]

The metal arm helps. That's all.

[neighsaying]

[ Jean leans up to press a kiss to Dolph's cheek. ]

I'm still impressed. So... how does it work, exactly?

[laserhawk]

[ he smiles. ]

You place your hand on the door and imagine what kind of clothing you want. Then you open it and it'll be there.

[neighsaying]

As simple as that, huh?

[ Because he can't resist testing it, he plants his hand on it and thinks of something that he remembers fondly - his actual Survey Corps uniform. When he pulls his hand away and opens the door, he peeks inside and lets out a fond chuckle. ]

I'll be damned.

[laserhawk]

[ dolph peers at it curiously. ]

It works then. Is that your uniform?

[neighsaying]

Yeah, one of them. The other we only wore on scouting missions or patrols.

[ This one is designed to be swapped for the other one, but otherwise it's more of a 'dress' uniform, not designed for gear to be worn over it. He has many a memory of throwing it on over his patrol jacket as well. ]

Got captured and stripped of it, then never went back for it. Kind of nostalgic to see it now.

[laserhawk]

[ dolph glances back at jean, trying to gauge his reaction. ]

In a good way?

[neighsaying]

Yeah. I ... don't regret being a part of the Scouts, even if I was scared out of my mind half the time.

[ That's what the uniform means to him - freedom, exploration, curiosity. Not what Floch and the others twisted it into, a fascist symbol under Eren's name. ]

[laserhawk]

[ he relaxes then. the past is messy but good things can come out of it. for most people. dolph definitely never wants to see his old uniform again. ]

It was worth the risk.

I'm glad you like the cupboard.

[neighsaying]

I feel like I should offer to try something different on for you using it. Help me get it into the room?

[ "The" room is the one he technically shares with Eren and, once upon a time, Mikasa; the one with the largest bed. ]

[ dolph acquiences with a nod.]

I'll bring it over.

[ he goes to hoist the cupboard back up with ease. then he brings it over to Jean's room ]

[ Jean takes advantage of Dolph's strength to get it placed, but he doesn't linger overlong on it. Instead, he reaches out and takes Dolph's hand, giving him a small smile. ]

Stay for dinner?

[ An offer extended more and more these days. Sometimes Eren and Subaru will join them, sometimes not. ]

[laserhawk]

[ he smiles, twining their fingers together shyly. ]

Of course. Whatever you want.

[ Jean has to bite back a 'stay forever'. He wants to stay with Dolph; he's not ready to give up cohabitation with Eren yet. He doesn't know how Dolph feels about that, and feels pretty sure Dolph wouldn't want to share space with Eren, though.

Instead, he smiles wider and presses a kiss to Dolph's cheek. ]

Well, I'm going to recruit you to help prep dinner then. I should get a break sometimes.

[ He already is - Eren's hired other cooks. ]
